COGENT’s “SmartImage”
provides key integrated Image/Scanning Services
Any collection based business is plagued with documentation
management. This problem is multiplied 10-20 fold when litigation
becomes involved. The Agency/Firm is faced with maintaining Client
documentation about the debtor (RICA, loan application, invoices,
etc),outbound system generated documentation (correspondence and
court documents) and finally inbounds documents (from the debtor,
debtor attorney, court, etc.). When BSI designed Cogent we decided
to integrate an Imaging scanning module that:
1) Automatically captures all
internally generated documents being sent to any outside party
(debtor, attorney, court, client, etc) and attaches this document to
the case/file.
2) Capability to scan in documents
received by the agency or firm, identify them and attach them to the
correct case/file.
3) Leveraging the Rule Engine allows
linking a task to a scan event.
4) Provides a condition that allows
specific documents to be pulled and printed as attachments when
filing suit.
The BSI Cogent SmartImage module is designed to be Twain
compatible. Twain protocol is the standard interface for Windows and
Macintosh that allows imaging hardware devices (such as scanners and
digital cameras) to communicate with image processing software.
Nearly all image software and hardware scanners today are TWAIN
compatible. SmartImage is easy to use, saves you time and improves
your productivity. It saves you money by letting you continue using
your existing scanner. SmartImage is offered as part of the core
Cogent product. Cogent supports a wide range of imaging features
including, Color, self-adjust size, multi-page scanning, barcode
recognition, zoom and more.
